There is a change between us and our memories of the past. Both external and internal forces have been altered by the forces of time. Therefore, when we remember our past reality, we are influenced by our current reality. We are forced to reflect not as we were, but as we are.
Over time, we become guardians of our own memories, which no one sees or experiences as we do.
Although we cling to what we once knew, the familiarity that once were the fibers of our existence has grown more elaborate, the tapestry has changed to such a degree, we struggle even harder to see the first knots that built it.
However, when we return to an ancient space, to a city, to a street, to a home, the memories invade us once again. Bright, vivid and clear. We relive and remember once more with ease, no longer trapped by nostalgia, but instead emotionally transcended by the memories that space itself unconsciously contains.
I am experimenting with transforming personal timelines and transforming separate moments into harmonious space from past to present. Instinctively, these experiences connect us all with a sense of our heritage and understanding of who we are. As safe as they may feel, these memories are only faint appearances of our mind’s creativity and imagination.
