Abstract work that simulates the movement of air as it enters our nostrils and the explosion of senses that identifying a smell produces. Although I was inspired by a specific olfactory memory, I wanted to make a painting that reflected in a general the importance of smell and everything that sensitively generates us. Therefore, although the movement created was the result of my observation of the waves and waves on the beach and everything that this generated me (specifically the beach of Castelldefels when I first arrived in Spain), it is also the movement of expansion and opening of our memories and what generates a certain smell.
I used mainly magenta, cyan and yellow since these are the primary colors by which we create and perceive the world, without these we would not feel or experience our surroundings in the same way; so I wanted to create a connection with everything that smell allows us and the possibility of feeling and knowing the world through different smells. These three colors were mixed with white and earth with a tan shadow (since I do not use black in my paintings) to create different shades and textures that simulate our perception, conceptually understood in the connection between the chromatic spectrum and smell, without losing sight of these three colors and their central position in the piece.
