For this month, we remind you that you can still attend two exhibitions in which we contribute with our olfactory notes:
The first one, is the exhibition of the Nasevo 2021 award winner, Laia Noal, at LAB36 Gallery with her exhibition “Poetics of destruction”, a project that reflects the relationship that humans maintain with nature through the landscape. When we are presented with the word landscape, we usually imagine a natural landscape in a horizontal and static format. But the term landscape includes all kinds of landscapes: natural, industrial, urban, underwater and even cosmic. This leads the artist to reflect on how landscape can be perceived and represented and approach it in different ways. Verticalizing it, working on the basis of fragmentation involving elements that are present in the landscape, artificializing it and searching for the seed of the Future in destruction.
In addition, February the 8th, we will exclusively carry out a free activity, with the artist, offering a workshop where she will explain the different works that make up the exhibition “Poetics of destruction” and their relationship with the different essences that we have designed for her. This workshop will be held in the Lab36 Gallery by 6:30 p.m. and you will have to confirm attendance through info@lab36.com
LAB36 Gallery, Calle Trafalgar 36, 08010, Barcelona.
The Second one, belongs to Olga Andrino, with, “The spaces we occupy and other smells”, at H2O Gallery. A project that intend to evoke a discourse of human sensations in which the individual has left not only his mark, but also his smell. His work values presence and absence, fullness and emptiness, representation and allusion, hence the use of empty frames that become scenery and allude to the occupied spaces. Plus of that, Olga Andrino’s works are accompanied by an olfactory tour produced by our Foundation.
H2O Gallery, Calle Verdi 152, 08012 Barcelona. The exhibition will remain fixed at the H2O Gallery until 10/02/2023.
